How we started

It started simply: Jeff taught his son to drive. Neighbors heard about it and began asking. Before long, he and a fellow pastor decided to formalize what had become a natural community need — and So You Think You Can Drive? was born as an extension of their church.

From the beginning, the school has operated with a purpose beyond driving instruction. All profits go to support overseas missions. The school isn't just a business — it's a way of serving.

Today, we offer a full range of Virginia-approved courses, from online Driver Improvement clinics to teen driver education and private behind-the-wheel lessons. Whatever you need to get on the road safely and legally, we can help.

Co-Owner & Founder

Dr. Jeffery L. Myers is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lion of Judah Ministries and Training Center International (LOJMTCI). Since its inception in 1985, LOJMTCI remains an international, interracial and Messianic (2006) House of Worship. For the last 30 years, teams from within the congregation have annually traveled to at least 10 different nations ministering to the physical and spiritual needs of various communities.

In 1995, Lion of Judah Academy, a private, Christian school for grades K–12 was started. In 2005 So You Think You Can Drive was established to meet the needs of the Academy's students who were ready to become licensed drivers. Our ministry-minded vision has extended to the driving school. We provide accommodations via payment plans, one-on-one classes, and meeting the particular challenges and instructional needs of the foreign-born resident / ESL communities to secure USA driver's licenses. Here are just a few of the nationalities we have taught: Mexico, Iran, Ghana, Kenya, Cameroon, Philippines, India, Pakistan, China, Nigeria, Algeria, Vietnam, and Guatemala.

Dr. Myers is married with 3 children and 3 grandchildren, all of whom have been taught by SYTYCD.

Co-Owner & Head Worship Leader

Pastor Kenneth Warthan is the Head Worship Leader at Lion of Judah Ministries and Training Center since its conception. He is one of the founding members and has traveled domestically and internationally, extensively over the past 40 years, which allows him to lead the congregation in worship songs in over 7 different languages. He is also a Christian Recording Artist since the age of 15.

Kenny is co-owner of So You Think You Can Drive and brings his experience as LOJMTCI International Mission Teams Staff, which provides in-person opportunities to understand and experience how people drive in other countries. He brings this experience into the driving classroom and onto the on-road portion of the driving classes. "I absolutely love teaching driving students from different countries," is his mantra.

He has 3 sons, 5 grandchildren, and a Bachelor's in Theology.
